What will be on your pages?

“We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Years Day.”

– Edith Lovejoy Pierce

We will make sure our book will be a bestseller… We have all sorts of ideas milling around our brains how this year will look for us.

How will it look for you??

Day 365 of Project 2015

So here we are… farewelling the project that was…

And we are grateful we did it. We are grateful we stopped to appreciate every day for what it was.

So where to from here? This isn’t our last post forever. This is only our “last” post for the year.

And who knows what inspiring things we come across …but this blog will become just that once more! We started this last year for that purpose… to be a place for us to collect and share quotes, movies, stories, pictures… that are inspiring, that focus on positive thinking, that remind us about happiness!

Until next time… whenever that may be! Here’s to 2016!

Good bye 2015! And good bye to our project.

Day 364 of Project 2015

And here we are…. on our 2nd last day of 2015.

We came back from Canberra – we started the morning at the Australian War Memorial before visiting Gold Creek Village. Then onwards to Sydney.

What a year it has been and what a fulfilling year. One that didn’t just blink away. One that didn’t seem wasted. It wasn’t one where we wished we had done this, that and the other. It isn’t ending with us vowing to do things differently next year or to do more in 2016 or try harder.

Nope, we are truly satisfied with how the year went.

That’s enough looking back for us.

We learned a lot doing this project and look forward to tackling a new project in 2016.

Summary for December 30

Newbies

We’ve come up with a rule of exercise in our place. Before we pass through any doorway, we need to do 10 seconds of exercise (e.g. 10 star jumps, 10 secs of running etc).

Brighter/Different Perspective?

Read an interesting quote: “Stop the glorification of busy!” That’s soooo true. Being busy isn’t necessarily a good thing.

Day 363 of Project 2015

Yep… two more days of 2015 left… officially!

We had a HUGE day in Canberra. Starting with a big breakfast, then it was from one museum to the next.

We spent the entire day walking and driving and exploring. We were so worn out by the end of it.

It was so fascinating visiting places here in our own country when we have visited so many other similar places in other countries. We felt a little “slack” that we have been so “slack” with our own country! It has plenty to offer but we take it for granted that it’s “home”.

Everything deserves the same respect from us, whether it be something far or near, foreign or not, family or friends or strangers. We in fact should love everything and show extra deserving respect to who and what that are most important to us!

Summary for December 29

Newbies

We visited so many new places because we wanted to play tourist in Canberra.

Brighter/Different Perspective?

This whole year we have learned not to take things for granted… so that definitely includes our home! We don’t want to miss a minute of anything if we don’t have to! 🙂

Day 362 of Project 2015

We drove to Canberra and along the way spent some time in the Southern Highlands. We visited Bowral and drove to Fitzroy Fall to go for a mini bush walk.

It was a cruisey drive… David listening to cricket on the radio while Le read her book. And time passed quickly and before we knew it, we had arrived.

We are staying at this adorable little hotel close to Parliament House. We visited it briefly tonight and will come back tomorrow to visit inside.

We found a great little bookshop that sold these amazing postcards!! We will come back tomorrow to look some more for our collection (but only after we’ve done a day of touristy stuff) 🙂

Summary for December 28

Newbies

Le read aloud to David on parts of the trip when the cricket was on a break.

Brighter/Different Perspective?

Seeing more of our country that we (sheepishly) have save seen so little of.
