So we are getting pretty tardy with these posts. And it’s not that we don’t care about them, because we do. And it’s not that we don’t think they are important for our state of mind. Because they are.
This time the excuse was we simply forgot about it…. We were on babysitting duties for Le’s sister’s kids. And it was an interesting night to say the least. It started with all 5 of the cousins together (not just with David and Le – but with Le’s parents and a brother-in-law). But somehow when kids and adult numbers are on par… the kids seem to outnumber adults. There were tears, vomits, children not sleeping, children not eating and a game of Twister.
It really wasn’t all as disastrous as it sounds. We had a great time as a whole but of course it’s the drama that sticks out. The thing with the “drama” is that it is entertaining, memorable and worth a tale.
We have learned many lessons from our project this year and this is no different. Yes, the drama is remembered but overall, we had a great night and the kids were great. They are genuinely good kids. We can’t forget that.
Summary of May 30
Newbies
Le caught vomit in her hands for the first time but we won’t be rating that as our newbie. We will be saying a game of Twister which we haven’t played in YEARS!!
Brighter/Different Perspective?
As wild as babysitting can get, the kids are not ours… we hand them back at the end of the night. 🙂
It’s always better when you can hand them back at the end of the day!
