Day 151 of Project 2015

And so it is… the last day of autumn. Winter is coming….

We are not big fans of taking antibiotics…. ever. Especially with the rise in antibiotic resistance with superbugs… YIKES!

But for this particular bout of sinusitis(?), Le decided to start the antibiotics the Dr prescribed. With only 3 days of medicines, Le’s sinuses and head are feeling a lot better.

Now we are NOT condoning the use of antibiotics for everything. And we never have. Sometimes being pigheaded about a certain belief can make you miss out on the benefits.

Newbies

While cooking, we both tried some red wine. We don’t usually drink but had a bottle that we bought for the dish. Admittedly it was just a cheap bottle for cooking – but man… we don’t know what the fuss is about.

Brighter/Different Perspective?

Le is finally feeling better.

Day 150 of Project 2015

So we are getting pretty tardy with these posts. And it’s not that we don’t care about them, because we do. And it’s not that we don’t think they are important for our state of mind. Because they are.

This time the excuse was we simply forgot about it…. We were on babysitting duties for Le’s sister’s kids. And it was an interesting night to say the least. It started with all 5 of the cousins together (not just with David and Le – but with Le’s parents and a brother-in-law). But somehow when kids and adult numbers are on par… the kids seem to outnumber adults. There were tears, vomits, children not sleeping, children not eating and a game of Twister.

It really wasn’t all as disastrous as it sounds. We had a great time as a whole but of course it’s the drama that sticks out. The thing with the “drama” is that it is entertaining, memorable and worth a tale.

We have learned many lessons from our project this year and this is no different. Yes, the drama is remembered but overall, we had a great night and the kids were great. They are genuinely good kids. We can’t forget that.

Le caught vomit in her hands for the first time but we won’t be rating that as our newbie. We will be saying a game of Twister which we haven’t played in YEARS!!

Brighter/Different Perspective?

As wild as babysitting can get, the kids are not ours… we hand them back at the end of the night. 🙂

Day 149 of Project 2015

Friday Friday Friday!

It started off rather bleak (weather-wise) but as the day went on, the weather turned better.

It was David’s long day … work and then after hours work. Although, all up it is just as long as Le’s normal day.

Our new Entertainment book for the year (June 2015 – May 2016) ahead has arrived so we look forward to trying different restaurants and discount prices. We used to buy the book every year but then stopped for about 3 so we didn’t feel like we had to stick to those restaurants only… It’s helpful for possible suggestions of where to go. Lots of new ones this year to try in there.

David ran a meditation session at work.

Brighter/Different Perspective?

Because something starts badly… doesn’t necessarily mean it will end that way. So first impressions shouldn’t always be the case.

Day 148 of Project 2015

We’re at the end of another week.

Le’s been under the weather and was off work. Out of air-conditioning and germy trains – hopefully to be on the mend soon.

And with working full-time and illness…. it’s a little hard for there to be any newbies. Oh well, it certainly doesn’t feel that the days are passing any faster though. We’ve feel like we have had a decent 5-odd months of this year so far.

Newbies

There was none!

Brighter/Different Perspective?

That’s its okay to not do a NEW/DIFFERENT thing every day 🙂

Day 147 of Project 2015

We both woke up feeling just shit (to put it bluntly). This freezing weather is simply crap! Gosh, we wish we could live in spring and summer seasons only. But we know, everything must have an opposite and there must be good and bad and there are people who love what we don’t.

Maybe we could lead lives where we spend all year round chasing the warmer weather. If we could take off to anywhere now… where would it be?? Mexico maybe? Or one of the tropical islands. We can feel the Vitamin D on our skin already 🙂

But we must snap out of it and make sure we live with what we have and where we are. Lusting or willing something different means we will miss out on what is right in front of us.

Summary of May 27

Newbies

Rejigged a recipe so we can make it work for what we wanted. From stuffed field mushrooms with rice to stuffed capsicum with mince.

Brighter/Different Perspective?

No need for wishing… it leaves the heart longing.
