We shared this on our Facebook today:
“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.”
Today, a hundred years ago, Australian and New Zealand soldiers set out to capture the Gallipoli peninsula.
On this day, we remember and honour those who lost their lives in the war.
**LEST WE FORGET**
This morning we also celebrated David’s mother’s birthday 🙂 We had a morning tea party. We made scones, an antipasto platter, and ham/cheese croissants.
We had a glorious morning of some family time, ate food, enjoyed a yummy cherry cheesecake.
Summary of April 25
We have never driven in hail before. Sydney’s weather is a little crazy at the moment and although the morning was fabulous… the afternoon turned to a storm and then a freak hailstorm.
We ducked into a shopping centre just to grab a few things. It has 2 hours free parking. And we left with at least 20 minutes to get out. And ended up sitting in the car park for about 40 minutes. Now we had to pay for parking.. Grr…. We decided not to let that annoy us, so we just sat in the queue waiting patiently to leave. And when we got towards the front, the boom gate was up and was just letting us out for free.
