Well it is International Day of Happiness… and were we happy?? Of course, we are! What isn’t there to be happy about?! 🙂
Let’s keep spreading the word about what happiness means, what it is, how we find it! We can all be happy…. because it’s within ourselves!
Summary of March 20
Newbies
Tomorrow being Harmony Day, David had some events on at work and the staff were asked to dress in cultural costume if possible. So he wore a Vietnamese bamboo hat, a Peruvian pair of trousers (purple and stripes) – very Andean! And he wore a Poncho up top.
It’s the first time he’s ever worn that combination! And possible the last time….
Brighter/Different Perspective?
We have a wedding tomorrow and Le was trying to iron her dress. The garment instructions state to use a cool iron – so she tried and it didn’t do ANYTHING. Le was getting a little frustrated that she might have to wear a crinkly dress… but she recruited David’s help so she could take a few deep breaths and work through the dress slowly. David helped to hold the dress on the ironing board in place and together they calmly worked through the creases!
Lesson 1 – it is okay to ask for help!
Lesson 2 – working through tough situations with another person does help.
Lesson 3 – Is the problem worth the stress?
We leave you with this quote “Three solutions to every problem: Accept it, change it or leave it. If you can’t accept it, change it. If you can’t change it, leave it.”
I suppose if the dress didn’t iron out nicely, there was always David’s Vietnamese / Peruvian / Mexican outfit to fall back on 🙂
