A few weeks ago, we were looking at buying some bedside lamps – yes, it does sound weird but we have only ever had like a little book light clipped to the top of the bed. We have never really found the “perfect” bedside lamps because we don’t like the ones with fabric lamp shades as they are dust magnets.
Anyway, we found the coolest ones ever. They were shaped like a big light bulb and they were plastic moulded and opaque. We were going to buy them but because we were catching the train, we figured we would come back for it another day.
But we never did!
And then today, we were in a completely different shop and came across another set of lamps that were even BETTER. They were still in a light bulb shape, but were clear and made of glass. Easy to clean/wipe over 🙂 Bonus!!
So as it goes, emphasises to us how important it is to let things be. What’s meant to be is meant to be… everything really does happen for a reason!
Summary of February 21
Newbies
We chose a suburb that we haven’t eaten at before for lunch and we chose to try our hand at a different type of craft: wooden transfers.
Brighter/Different Perspective?
We had a big family dinner at a restaurant and it was forecasted to rain for the rest of the day. If that was the case; Plan B was going to be takeaway. We had faith that it wouldn’t rain by the afternoon ….. and it didn’t 🙂
Cool lamps! (If you put a little perfume on the cloth before you wipe them over, the room will smell great everytime they heat up 🙂 )
What are wooden transfers?

Excellent tip about cleaning the lamps. Thanks!
Wooden transfers are transferring photographs onto wooden blocks. We have tried two already but the problem seems to be the quality of paper – we need cheap thin paper and all we can find is thick, good quality paper 😉
We will share success if we get there 🙂

Ooh sorry.. how did we miss this comment??
Anyway, not like rice paper, but paper that can be printed on with laser printer and melted away with water – so just really cheap quality A4 paper is what we need.
