To finish the weekend, we went to the Blue Mountains. We had a lovely time going up on the train, spending time at the markets and just walking around the main mall strip in Leura before sitting down to a deliciously large lunch.
The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for us as the rains and storms stayed away for us. Next time, we think we will head up and go for a bush walk.
What it has also shown us is that we can explore parts of Sydney, that we don’t normally do, easily and cheaply. We can do it on a train for $2.50 each. That’s the beauty of it – so we are thinking of investing time into doing that more regularly 🙂 Pick a suburb any suburb and get there by train!! Sounds like possibly more fun local adventures are in store for us!
Summary of February 15
Newbies
We went to the Blue Mountains Magpie Markets and we caught a train to get there.
Brighter/Different Perspective?
On the way back from Leura, we arrived at the train station and only just missed the train leaving. The next train wasn’t for another hour. Instead of feeling annoyed, we sat down and read our books and just enjoyed some more down time 🙂
$2.50? Is that the usual rate?

It is now for Sunday (we think) – we have an Opal Card now (equivalent to the London Oyster) so not sure if it has anything to do with that.
