This morning was just like any other Saturday – waking up so that David could go to cricket. We had grand plans to go for a walk this morning but just struggled to open our eyes on time.
But when we got going, it was just like any other morning ….
Lunch was a taco pizza – a recipe we found online through some of our blogging friends. What an absolute treat!!
Really really loving the “trying-new-things” (no matter how subtle or drastic). It really is putting an uplifting spin on our lives.
Summary of February 7
Newbies
We walked across the Harbour Bridge for the first time today. It was a glorious summer’s day and we wanted to enjoy the last few weekends in summer before the colder months hit 🙂 Blue skies, beautiful breeze… absolutely wonderful.
Brighter/Different Perspective?
We went to a birthday party tonight and had left the details of the address at home. So we had to rely on our memories and we got the street name wrong. Which meant when we turned up, there didn’t look to be a party going on. Uh-oh! We stayed composed and looked at our map and tried to locate another street name that was similar. and we FOUND it 🙂
No need to panic when things don’t go to plan. No need to get upset or get angry. A composed and calm mind is more productive and successful.
Ah, that made me smile! I grew up in Sydney but moved to Brisbane when I was 31. I didn’t walk across the Harbour Bridge until one visit back home when I was 45 or so!
On the other hand, when I lived in Crows Nest, an English couple moved in next door and they walked across the bridge within two weeks of moving here!
It might be surprising to ask among your friends and see how many others have yet to do it!
It is a glorious walk 🙂

Yeh, we always take what is in our own back yard for granted! 2015 is going to be different for us… we are going to make the effort to see Sydney in a different light 🙂
